The Scoop

Much of the house underwent a complete remodel during the summer of 2016. It was a really fun DIY project. Kids, grandparents and friends were enlisted to rip out old cabinets and carpet, put in a new kitchen, insulate walls, refinish vintage furniture and lots more. The work has continued on and off since then. Cork flooring was put in just a few months ago and it’s amazing! The house is 900 sqft and thoughtfully stocked with everything you need.

KITCHEN – You will find everything you need to cook, serve and eat a fabulous meal. The island seats 2. The dining table is set for 4. If you plan to have dinner guests, let us know as we can add a leaf and chairs to seat 8.

LIVING ROOM – Great place to hang out with comfortable seating and a super cozy wood burning stove that heats the house on the coldest of days. Firewood provided. No TV for those that want to unplug, but the house is stocked with books, games, bluetooth speaker and wifi.

MASTER BEDROOM – Queen bed with quality linens. Technically an open loft, but because of the structural design, it is mostly hidden from below. I love waking here – it feels like I’m in a treehouse. Bathroom attached.

DOWNSTAIRS BEDROOM – Small room with big style (designed and painted by the kiddos.) Bunk-Inspired twin beds. The closet contains games and toys for a variety of ages along with extra linens and other necessities. Just steps away from the larger bathroom.

DECK – Great place to enjoy a hot beverage in the morning! The exterior dining table seats up to 8 when the weather is right. BBQ available year round. Yard surrounded by trees so you can easily forget about the rest of the world.

LOCATION – The house is located in a small residential neighborhood that is home to almost entirely full-time residents. Our lot is surrounded by trees so you truly forget you are in a neighborhood. 1 mile to Scatchet Head. 1.5 miles to Maxwelton Beach. 10 min drive to the Clinton Ferry. 15 mins to downtown Langley. Generally no more than 20 minutes from anything (and everything) South Whidbey has to offer.
